NEARING THE END
DOMINION TOUR.
ENGLISH SCHOOL BOYS. DUE AUCKLAND TO-MORROW. Xearing the end of the New Zealand portion of an Empire tour, a party of 20 hoys from some of England's most notable public schools will arrive in Auckland from Hamilton at four o'clock j to-morrow afternoon. The party arrived [in Wellington on February since [when tourist resorts, agricultural Col;leget*, model farms and dairy factories have been visited. Advance arrangements for the tour are in the hands 0 f fyord Malcolm Douglas-Hamilton, who at present is journeying with the hoys, while the tour director is Mr. A. E. ('. Cornwall, a master of Marlborough College, and his assistant is. Mr. A. F. Philpotts. Yesterday memhers of the party lunche<l with their Jlamilton hostesses ami inspected the Fraukton butter factory in the afternoon. In the evening they were, welcomed by Princess To Puea at the Ngaruawahia pa and later enjoyed a Maori dinner. This morning they visited the Ruakura State Farm, and tlii*s afternoon were to play a cricket match at St. Peter's School, Cambridge. On arrival here the boys will be met at the station by their hostesses and will proceed to the Town Hall to bo met by the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis. Tinparty will be billeted with twelve prominent Auckland residents.
Drive to Waitakerea. To-morrow evening will be free, and it has been suggested that Friday be devoted to driving round the city, shopping excursions, and, should time permit, a visit to the Waitakere Ranges, which would enable .them to see some fine New Zealand kauris and native bush. Owing to the tentative nature of present arrangements, however, the drive to the Waitakerea may be made on Monday.
Five 7nembers have expressed pleasure in accepting an invitation from the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron to luncheon on Saturday, to be followed by a week-end cruise.
The Auckland Aero Club hae arranged a dance for Saturday evening and lunch at the clubhouse on Sunday. Lord Douglas-Hamilton will give a display of aerofmtics on Sunday afternoon.
The party leaves for Sydney by the Awatea on Monday.
