AT SCENE OF DISASTER.
TRAFFIC AGAIN HELD UP

The partial derailment of a petrol wagon attached to a goods train ! travelling from Marton to New Ply- j mouth, at exactly the same spot where j the excursion train engine left the rails j on Saturday, caused an hour and a half j delay to rail traffic on the Wanganui | section of the line at 4.15 a.m. to-day ' The two front wheels of the truck only j were derailed. I
No damage was caused to the wagon, hut the regulations provide that whenever a derailment occurs the rolling stock involved must he left at 'tinnearest station for examination. The truck was accordingly left at Wangaehu.
At the time of the mishap the train was travelling dead slow at live miles per hour. While the truck was being righted the line was temporarily blocked and passengers for the express at Marton were transhipped at Turakina.
