BRITISH PROPOSALS?
"SIZE-AND-A-HALF" WARSHIPS
LONDON, March 23.
Both the British ami United States navies are to have "size-and-a-half" battleships, says the "Daily Express." They will be of 42.*>00 tons, and will mount loin guns, the paper adds.
Two British battleships to be built under the l!'.'!S programme will be of the new size. No battleship above So.OOO tons has been built since the Washington Treaty of 1022.
