WEATHER FORECAST.
: FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star " this afternoon the following special I weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— ! Light to moderate winds between north-west and south-west. Weather mainly fair to fine, but a few scattered showers probable. Temperatures i moderate to warm. Seas slight to moderate on the east coast, moderate to rather rough on the west coast. i A depression crossed the Dominion last night, but a fresh one is following it across the Tasman Sea. A westerly type of weather is indicated for the next day or two. FOR THE DOMINION. , For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate westerly or south-west winds. There is a prospect of fair wsather, but a few passing showers probable. ! Temperatures moderate to warm. 1 ; Barometer unsteady. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north and light; sea, smooth; weather, fine, but hazy, with scattered clouds; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
