She wilV shortly be returning lo Sydney for a course of specialised training, and to fulfil various important radio contracts U-iore her projected trip to (neat, Britain and to Europe. .Mrs. Andrew received tile guests wearing a ljracetnlly draped frock of cornflower blue crepe satin. Miss Jean ilaclarlano wort! a handsome gown of petunia crepe, with a corsage bouquet oi golden loses :;i!IL leaves. She was in splendid voice, and the musical programme. which was a truly memorable one, included items by the guests, many of whom were well-known artists.

Miss Macl'ai lai.e's voice, a contralto of phenomenal range and depth, was admirably displayed in a varied collection of Home dozen ballads and arias. .Mi-s Pearl \\ allace was a sympathetic and aide accompanist for the singers, and al.-o played several piano solos, including IJaclnnaninoir's ' i l > o!ichenello. ? '
