D. CHADWICK AT DOMAIN. UTTDOUrM CUP EVENTS. Employing tlie spectacular western roll style that lias won him ninny places in high jump event during the past few seasons, I). Chadwick, the University high jump star, leaped 6ft lVCin at the Domain on Saturday. This bent the previous best jump by a Xew Zealander, a record held by P. Haeket, another University athlete, who cleared 6ft liin in competition with Metcalte, the Australian champion, in 1935. The Xew Zealand record is held by A*. Perasalo. of Finland, who cleared 6ft sin. (hadwick's performance will be submitted to the Xew Zealand Amateur Athletic Association for recognition as a national record.
