APPEALS IN DIET.
Japan's Attitude to Nine Power Pact. DENUNCIATION URGED. (Keceived 11 a.m.) TOKYO, March 18. Replying to appeals in the Diet to denounce the Nine-Power Pact, the Foreign Minister, Mr. A. Hirota, admitted that most of its provisions were not fulfilled. In the light of realities, the natural outcome would be denunciation, which vfould possibly be done at an opportune time. This had been foreshadowed by Japan's withdrawal from the International Labour Organisation, Geneva, but relations with the Permanent Court of International Justice •would be maintained.
