ELECTION CANDIDATES.
SOUTHERN CONSTITUENCIES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGTLL, Friday. The name of Mr. F. G. Hall-JoYies, solicitor, will be submitted to a meeting of the Invercargill branch of the National party on Tuesday as the Liberal-National candidate for Invercargill at the general election. It is understood that he is the only nominee. Mr. G. E. T. Dorman, public accountant and a member of the City Council, has announced his intention to contest the Invercargill seat aa an Independent. Mr. T. V. Hardy, nf : Underwood, secretary of the Awar.ua Labour Representation Committee, intends to be a candidate for Awariia, but he has not yet been endorsed by the National executive of the Labour party.
