WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist Issued to the " Auckland Star " this afternoon the following specicl weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate northerly wind, freshening at times. Weather mainly fair to cloudy., but occasional rain probable in most places. Temperatures mild to warm. Seas slight to moderate, but increasing on the west coast. The anti-cyclone centred to the eastward is moving away slowly. Conditions are still disturbed over the Tasman Sea, and the first part of a depression coming from the west hao crossed the South Island by 9 a.m. this morning. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate northerlies, freshening at times. Mainly there is a prospect of fair to cloudy and mild weather, but with occasional rain at most places. Barometer unsteady, with a falling tendency. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north, moderate to fresh; sea, rough; weather, overcast, but fine, with light haze; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
