GISBORXE, Saturday. The Poverty Bay Turf Club concluded its summer meeting to-day. It rained heavily in the middle of the afternoon, but the track was in good order and fast. As the result of Gay Mimic's falling in the Oman Stakes, the rider, C. G. Goulsbro, was slightly injured in a leg and was unable to ride for the remainder of the sum of £10.307 10/ went through : the totalisator, compared with £8728 10/ for the final day last year, showing an increase of £1570. GOING ON THE RIGHT WAY. Bright Idea and Master Appellant, tlie two novices in J. M. Buchanan's stable, are getting through plenty of useful work at headquarters and arc well forward.
