ELECTRICITY FOR COAST. (By Telegraph.— Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. Replying to a question asked at a meeting of the Thames Chamber of Commerce Council tliis morning, the president. \lr. K. S. Hethington. said at the present juncture it seemed definite that electricity would lie extended to the Thames coast by next summer. There was a possibility, he added, that C'oromandel might come in under the scheme. It was decided that the deputation should wait on the Postmaster-General, the Hon. F. .Tones, when he is in Thames for the opening of the new chief post office on Friday week ronfardin;* the opening of a branch office at Orahainstown. Lengthy discussion took place on the possibility of "boosting"' the Thames coast, and it was agreed that a committee be set up to make recommendations to the annual meeting.
