RIFLED TOMB.
ANCIENT BURIAL PLACE
LONDON, January 6,
The Cairo correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says a tomb has been found at Sakkara which may prove to be the original burial place of Ahamenes, first King of the first dynasty of the historical Kings of Egypt, which he founded.
Historians variously place the date of his death at 5546 and 3500 B.C. A small tomb was discovered at Abydos years ago, which previously was regarded as a Royal necropolis of the first dynasty. The Sakkara tomb lias been rifled, but it contained alabaster vases.
