WEATHER FORECAST. FOR CITY AND PROVINCE, The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star "' this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate north-westerly to westerly wind, later backing to the south-west. Weather mainly fair to fine, but later some scattered showers probable in western areas. Temperatures moderate to warm. Seas slight to moderate. Pressure is relatively high across the north Tasman Sea, but a series of westerly depressions continue to pass in the south. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate westerly winds, later backing by west to south. There is a prospect of fair weather. Barometer unsteady. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following repprt of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south—south-west, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine and clear; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
