A WARM DECEMBER.
MONTH OF ERRATIC RAIN. December was one of the warmest mouths hitherto recorded, reports the Dominion meteorologist, as telegraphed by the Press Association. Rainfall was erratic, some places having more than the average and others less than usual. In North Auckland some districts had a drought and others had heavy rain, while in Canterbury and further south the rainfall was double the normal fall. Canterbury and Otago had dull skies, but elsewhere the sunshine was above the average. The month was free from stormy weather.
