WON THE RACE TO WHANGAROA.—Messrs. F. and J. N. Tattersfield and G. Mills' Altair. She is 38ft overall, 24ft waterline, 7ft beam and sft 3in draught, carrying 650 ft of sail. Altair won the race by keeping close in shore, going inside Piercy Island. She finished 18m 8s behind the scratch boat lorangi, which was giving her 2h 45m handicap.
