CHESS CONGRESS GAMES. (Br Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUXEWX. Wednesday. Although there is still one round to I*? played, the main issue of the Xew Zealand chess congress was virtually decided to-night. when S- Hind in (Canterbury), who has been one of the leaders practically throughout, won his game against F. K. Kelling (Wellington), ysving him a total of nine points. Even if he trees the last round to-in or - ; row and an adjourned game against McXabh, who was a piece np at the adjournment, no other player can reach his total. Hindin has played consistently throughout the congress, and has thoroughly earned his title of Dominion { champion. J. B- Duniop (Otagol, who j has finished al! his matches, is also J assured of second p':ace, hut the third i place is stsii in doubt. Following are the results of the j eleventh round games:—Hindin beat \ Selling. Duniop beat Lynch. McXabb ' beat Hunter, Barry beat Xewick. i
The premier reserve games played today resulted u follows: —Twelfth round: Turner beat McMillan. Thirteenth round: Allen beat Turner. MeMil lan beat Hewitt, Chiistensen drew with Sterry.
