ENGINE DRIVER HURT.
WOODEN BEAM SUPPED.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Severe injuries to the right leg. including a probable fracture, were received by Mr. John W. Dixon, engine-driver, of Huia Av.enue. Forest Lake, yesterday. Mr. Dixon, who is an employee at Frankton Junction, was assisting in replacing a drum in an engine when a heavy wooden beam slipped and fell on him.
He was removed to the Waikato Hospital by St. John Ambulance and an X-ray is being taken to-day.
