VERY RARE CAUSE.
DEATH OF JOCKEY. WAS FOUXD UNCONSCIOUS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON XORTH, this day. The case was a very unusual one. Xothing could have been done by an opeiation. said Dr. Pullar, pathologist a t the Palmerston Xorth Hospital, giving c\ idence at an inquest this morning into the death of Clifford James Plier. apprentice jockey, of Hastings. on December 30. Other evidence disclosed that deceased suffered a fall previously, but witness said death was not accelerated by the head injuries 'received that time, the cause being rupture of a hydatid cyst into the heart. Deceased was found unconscious in the stables at the Awapuni racecourse during the summer meeting. Dr. Pullar added that the cause of death was very rare and he had not seen one like it before. The coroner's verdict was in accordance with the medical evidence.
