CLIFF ESPLANADE, TAKAPUNA.
Residents of Takapuna are apparently unawaie that this excellent scheme for V jm? a I >ubhc roa <l a "d esplanade on the cliff edge from Narrow Xeck Bcach to the Takapuna •rainmar School is in grave danger of bcinc quashed. The Takapuna Council has gone jt ol i lt3 parsed a few rears ago, an<l unless public opinion is brought to b£ir on the council without dclav, the esplanade win never become an accomplished fact. One other matter not to be overlooked is that adequate drainage cannot l, e provided owing to the fall' being toward the sea. This means that the beaches at Belmont, and ultimately " I ;:,y oona l rd 7 (where hundreds of residents and children bathe) will he in dancer of pollution trom drainage running from the houses now proposed to be erected. Wake up. Takapuna, and let the council have vour views before it too late. CYRIL MACKLEY.
