CHARGE DISMISSED.
MAGISTRATE'S DECISION. "I do not feel altogether convinced, but there is no evidence to contradict their story," said Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court at Otahuhu yesterday in. dismissing a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a vehicle brought against iTolin William Murphy a labourer. Defendant stated that he had taken a woman friend for a drive at her request and she had driven all the way. When the accident occurred he had decided to take the responsibility as he did not want his wife to know he was out with a friend.
