TESTING STATION.
SITE NEAR WATERFRONT.
The Auckland City Council adopted a recommendation from the legal and by-laws committee last evening to secure a site at the south-eastern corner of Fansliawe and Halsey Streets for a municipal motor vehicle testing station. It was decided to negotiate for the purchase of the lease of the proj»erty, which is owned by the Auckland Harbour Board.
Mr. W. T. Anderton explained that the site had to be one where there would be no congestion of traffic.
