SOCIAL AFTERNOON.
An enjoyable afternoon tea wa« given by Mrs. W. Halverson, of New Lynn, on Friday on the eve of her departure for Australia. Among those present were: Mesdames Goodall, Bland, Clareburt, Laycock, Rogers, Mackey, Boyce, Sutton, Smith and Stainton, and Misses Stewart, Valerie Bland, Stainton, Mackey and Sutton.
