ANSWER WITHDRAWN.

HUSBAND GETS DIVORCE.

NEVER LIVED TOGETHER.

A statement that from the day he and his wife were married they had not lived together was made by Allan Nelson Wood (Mr. North) in giving evidence before Mr. Justice Callan this morning in support of his petition for divorce from Annie Wood (Mr. R. S. Burt) on the grounds of her adultery with Ronald McGrath.

The respondent had filed an answer saying that her husband knew of her association with McGrath, that his conduct induced and concerned the misconduct. Mr. Burt said the respondent had informed him she was not in a position to establish her answer and instructed him to withdraw it.

Evidence was given that the respondent and co-respondent had lived two months at a hotel in Auckland as man and wife, and his Honor granted a decree nisi.
