"OVER SHE GOES."
RETURN OF GEORGE GEE.
"A special pleasure" is how a Sydney critic described the initial performance in that city of "Over She Goes," the colourful revue which is to be staged here by George Gee and J. C. Williamson's company at His Majesty's Theatre, commencing on Monday, December 20. He continues: "The newcomers, Valerie Hay, Donald Burr, Billie Worth and Percy Le Fre, live up to all that has'been written of them in advance. They are bright, attractive personalities, and they act, sing and dance with deftness. As for George Gee, returning to the Sydney'stage after an absence t>f 10 years, he is twice as funny as he used to be. His comic resourcefulness on Saturday night seemed to be-boundless. One thumb-nail impersonation followed another with, lightning rapidity, giving no time for detailed consideration. Mr. Gee has embroidered his part with so much cleverness, and worked so hard to make these humorous patterns scintillating and forceful, that in the firs': act he caused a reaction of positive fatigue.''
A special and full representation of "Over She Goes" will be staged on Chrietmas Night, December 25. The box plans will be opened on .Wednesday morning next. _
