Lieutenant-Colonel F. R. G. Foreyth, Deputy-Lieutenant of the City and County of Aberdeen, is a passenger on the Rangitane, due at Wellington from London on December 15.
Mr. H. Gatty, special representative in New Zealand for Pan-American Airways, arrived in Auckland yesterday from Wellington, where he has been attending the international meteorological conferenee.

Mr. Duncan Darroch. the Xcw Zealand artist, has returned to the Hermitage, Mount Cook, after spending six mouths in the highlands of Scotland, the birthplace of his parents. He states that the nearest to \ew Zealand's rugged scenery that he saw in Scotland was the Olencoe countrv.
Mr. A. L. Armstrong, formerly of Fiji, who lias been appointed agent and Consul under the Colonial Office at Tonga, is visiting Auckland, and is at the Waverly Hotel. He will leave for Tonga to-morrow hy the Matua.
