Messrs. J. H. Edwards and W. J. Fer- \ guson, both members of the presi -it Town Board, are contesting thmayoralty, and this should prove a very I interesting duel. Among the 16 candidates for the election of eight councillors are several who are facing thr electors for tlie first time. Mr. C. E. Gray, a former member of the Town Board, who has been in England and on the Continent for several months, resigned his seat on the ecore of urgent business.
