CIVIL AIR INQUIRY.
COMMONS DISSATISFACTION,

RUGBY, November 28.
At question time in the House of Commons several members, including Mr. C. K. Attlee, Labour leader, expressed dissatisfaction with the composition of the committee appointed by the Air Secretary, Viscount Swinton, as a result of the charges of inefficiency against civil air transport undertakings levelled in a debate last week. Feeling was that the personnel was too official in character. The Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, while expressing surprise, undertook to: discuss the matter with Lord Swinton, i and opportunity will be given the Homei Secretary, Sir John Simon, to-morrow, to inform the House of any decision which may have been reached when Mr. Montague, Under-Secretary for Air in! the last Labour Government, will ask! him to state the revised composition of! the committee.
