After reading the report on honsins: bv Mr. Tyler, tlie city engineer, one wonders if any of his staff -o and inspect some of -he houses to see how many women and .sills live in so-called rooms with no conveniences U all. where they hoi] clothes on the <ras st ,ve and eat and sleen ;„ the same room. It is about time the council stopped a lot of the*; people letting room* unless thev have a licence, as T am sure they are all overcrowded. A< it is a known fact that in a lot of these houses the doors are open all horns of the night, it would pay some of those who have written about home life to see some of these places called rooms and flats.
