Mount Eden. —Despite a wet evening' the Mount Eden branch had a lar.ue attendance at its final meeting, which took the form of a "fathers' night." The speaker was Mr. J. W. Shaw, M.A., who gave a talk on "Scottish Wit and. Hnnifir."' Solos by Miss Gwenda Weir and M "'. Stewart Harvey and h> monr by Mr. Alan McElwain were much appreciated. , '
