PETER PAN.

Dancing under ideal conditions prevails at the Peter Pan cabaret, and the large attendance on Saturday evening was evidence of its unfailing popularity in spite of warm weather. Lauri Paddi and his land presented an enjoyable programme of the latest cabaret dance hits from America, including the syncopated swing number "The Big Apple," and Johnny Madden interspersed several new song specialties to the accompaniment of the orchestra. Optional evening dress has caught the favour of ]>atrons and attracted parties of picture-goers to finish up their evening's entertainment with a dance or two before midnight. Among those present were: Mesdames R. Munro, M. I'smar, S. Wallis, R. B. Martin, E. Qninn (Christchurch), A. Ballard, H. Thompson, Misses Sally Martin, Edna Bartrum, Peggy Salmon, Marjorie Watts, Betty Whyntie, Ettie Green, Jessie Brander, Jean Hunter, Mavis Webb, Betty Charteris. M. White, Eileen Savage, Barbara Wilton, Ena Hockey, Trixie and Queenie Xoonan, Ailsa Conway, V. Mens, Clara Lynch, Ruby Thompson, Zoe Madigan, Grace Goodsall, Betty Reid, Phyllis Warren, Barbara Franklin, Marie Naylor, Jean Sutherland, Phyllis Andrews, Bervl Perkins, R. Peel", L.
