Yacht Racing at Tamaki and Manukau

I Tin- Tainaki Ynclit Club will hold a series of races* to-morrow afternoon for the centrel>oard classes, from the of the I. class to the 1- footers of the Silver Kerns. All events will start and finish off the clubhouse, jjastion l'oint. The Naval whalers start at p.m. and the 1. and X cla.-*» at p.in., the other classes following at intervals of fight minutes. The Cornwell Cup committee has accepted the invitation of the Tamaki Club to iiol«l t heir liftli trial off the clubhouse, and this may start at L'.4m p.m.. the course and all arrangements being under the direction of the Cornwall '"up selectors. After a spell they will then race over the club's course. The races will start by the five-flag system, the class being indicated bv letter Hags flown from the end of the gaff on the signal tower. The entries are go<*d all round, totalling S'». and the racing promises to be very keen. Yamarie. ihe new boat that carried I away her mast l::st Saturday will be competing to-morrow. Bspecial interest is taken in the M cla«s race for which nine boats have entered, including Mr. K. J. Payne's new boat Mercedes, and Mr. J. Mallites new boat Mararca. The Y class includes the fastest boats of this popular class, and a new one, Maramoa. New boats are also racing in other clashes. The club invites visitors from sister clubs and others interested in the racing to view same from the club balcony. Afternoon tea will be provided by the latlies' committee for competing crews, who are requested to come ashore after the contests. With every probability of tine, south-west weather, and the tide full at 2.34, p-m., the club should have a successful day.
