STAKE OF £2900.
MOST IMPORTANT IN EUROPE
The race for the Silver Horse of Germany, the most important trotting event in Europe, with stakes of 35,000 marks ( £2900), and run over 3000 metres, was decided on Sunday, October 3, at Daglting. Munich, before a record crowd of 140,000, including many visitors from other countries.
The American-itnlian mare Tara won easily from the (ierinan long-distance champion Probst. The German mile record holder, Xiphias, was third, and Jara's stable companion, Marv Sunshine fourth.
The winner is a six-year-old bv Yoloinite out of Sweet Pern, and is" owned by <!. (lambi, of Rome. She is trained by Botfoui. Tara registered the record time of 2.0 for a mile at Goshen, USA in 1935. "
