FLOWER SHOW.
WARKWOBTH'S DISPLAY. (From Our Own • '"orresponrlent.) WARKWORTH, Saturday. An exceptionally fine display of spring flowers was made at the Warkworth Beautifying Society's annua! show held in the Town Hall. Particularly gratifying to the society was the greater interest taken in the show by growers throughout the county, the exhibits being greatly in excess of those of last year. Reflecting careful methods of cultivation and management on the part of growers, the blooms generally were of a high standard and in many sections were highly competitive, the judges) Miss Violet Palmer and Mr. X. Cutler, of Auckland, having no easy task in making their awards. The remarkable uniformity of the roses exhibited was commented upon by the judge, the champion bloom of this section being the Mrs. Sam McCready, exhibited by Miss Hazel Phillips.
Admiration for the tasteful arrangement and grouping of the various sectional displays was expressed by many visitors to the show, and the president. Mr. John Morrison, the secretary. Mr. H. J. Keys, and the executive are to be commended for their organisation of a very attractive exhibition.
