OBITUARY.
MR. W. A. GILLESPIE. The denth has occurred of Mr. William Andrew (iillespie. aged 59, eldest son of the late John Cillespie, of Gillespie's Line, Palmerston Xorth, one of the oldest and most hiphly respected settlers of the Manawatu district. An accountant by profession. Mr. William Gillespie was for a number of years commercial manager for the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Association, Dannevirke. He came to Auckland about 12 years ago and carried on business as a grocer in Symonds Street, and more recently in Parnell Road, but retired owing to ill-health two and a half years ago. He was a sinple man. The interment is to be in Palmerston Xorth.
