COMMISSIONER CONTROL.
CONFERENCE CONVENED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. A conference to consider whether commissioner control of Thames shall continue for a further |K>riixl has been convened by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, to be held in Parliament House, Wellington, on Monday. November .22. The conference will Ik* attended by Government officials and representatives of the Thames Borough Advisory Committee, the Thames Borough Commissioner, representatives of the debentureholders of Thames, both local and overseas, and the Thames Chamber of Commerce. The legislation providing for commissioner control of Thames and the reduction of the rate of interest payable on Thames Borough and Thames Harbour Board debentures expires next year.
