NEW FIJI INDUSTRY.
SHIPPING OF CATTLE.
(From One, Own Correspondent.) SUVA, November 8. What may develop into a large new industry for the colony was inaugurated last week when the Department of Agriculture took into quarantine eight cows, two bullocks and three bulls which will shortly be exported to Tahiti and Samoi. The cows are three Friesians and five milking Shorthorns selected for buyers in Tahiti by the Department. They are yo'ing stock and in calf to purebred bulls. There are also two black zebu bullock's for plantation work, and a rather fine eighteen-month zebu bull for breeding. For Samoa there are two young zebu bulls for breeding.
