ROAD SMASH.
THREE INJURED.
BOY AND TWO ADULTS.
VEHICLES IK COLLISION.
Two adults and a boy aged four were injured in a serious motor smash at the intersection of Great North Road and Western Springs Road shortly after noon to-day. A motor car, driven by Mr. D. Henderson, of 37, Margaret Road, Mount Albert, came into violent collision with a delivery truck driven by Mr. Bruce Chisholm, of Rosebank Road, Avondale.
The car was overturned on the tram rails and had to be righted before being dragged to the footpath. It was badly damaged. The occupants, Mr. Henderson and Miss J. P. Hill, were both injured.
Miss Hill escaped with slight cuts, but Mr. Henderson suffered bad cuts and concussion and was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a serious condition.
Mr. P. Kellaway, of Powell Avenue, Avondale, a passenger in the truck, was thrown on to the roadway and suffered concussion and injuries to the head. His son, Trevor Kellaway, four years of age, was taken to the hospital in a private car. He suffered severe cuts to the face.
Mr. Henderson and Trevor Kellaway were considered to be in a serious condition this afternoon.
