VANISHED BODY.
OF DEAD PRINCESS.
Mystery Baffles Authorities In Austria. SEARCH ASKED BT ITALY. United Press Association.—Copyright (Received 1.30 p.m.) VIENNA, November 12. The mysterious disappearance of the body of Princess Maria Christina of Montleart, great-grandmother of the King of Italy, has baffled the authorities.
The Princess died in Vienna in 1852 and was buried in a local cemetery. Her body was exhumed the same year, but the place of reburial is not known.
Crown Prince Umberto of Italy recently asked the Austrian authorities to search for the body. A special commission visited all likely places without success, and the search has now been abandoned.
