LATEST NEWS FROM SUNSHINE CLUBS

CINDERELLA CLUB (Avondale). Hurrah for this Avondale first Sunshine Club to reach the coveted Golden Star section. This week, with the aid of an afternoon tea party and a guessing contest for a pretty little budgie, an amount of £1 2/6 was raised, and this makes this Avondale club's contributions total £3 2/6. We send Alice and hejt friends our warm congratulations.

JOEYS CLUB (Auckland). —What a week for the Joeys I First of all along came a letter from Joey himself —but readers will see this for themselves elsewhere on the page. With the letter there arrived a half-crown postal note to be credited to the Joeys' funds. Fast on the heels of this letter came ona from £. H., of Glen Eden, who also sent a contribution of 2/6 for the funds of this club.

ROSKILL PIXIES (Mount Roskill). Colin perseveres with his threepenny contributions. Another one to acknowledge this week. My word, Colin, if every Budget reader could spare us m threepence what a tremendous amount of money we would collect for our campaign. • • • •

STARLETS (Mount Albert). —Sunbeams will read elsewhere on this page of the surprising activities of the Mount Albert Starlets. The Starlets have a very busy month ahead, and it looks as though they will be soaring sky high on the ladder before long. They send us a 2/ donation to the fund.
