Doreen Gleeson, a 17-year-old reader from Parnell, wins this week's 5/ prize for her story entitled "The Swan Maiden."
Other stories to be published came from Fay Dromgool, Muriel Rummey, Albert Nicholson, Winifred Davidson, Mona Maguiness, Mavis Collins.
