DAISY CHAIN CLUB.
An address was given by "Paul," a wellknown radio personality, at the club rooms yesterday, where Mrs.* Lord, president, took the chair. His subject was "The New Education," and he outlined the dispositions and treatment of young children. A successful "bring and buy" was held, the proceeds of which go to the "good cheer box" to help the sick and needy. The fifteenth fortnightly dance and card evening held recently proved a successful function, credit for which goes to the conveners, comprising Mesdamea Hogg, jun., Home, Chalmers, Gough and Shaw, of the social committee. Good dance music was played by Mrs. Dye and Mr. Don Roberteon, while Mr. W. Hogg was an able master of ceremonies. The Monte Carlo and mock Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mrs. Rumford and Mr. Morphew and Mr. and Mrs. Arndt. The lucky numbers were won by Mrs. Ward and Mr. Milton. Those successful in the card tournament organised by Mrs. Chalmers were Mrs. Milden and Mr. Welsh, while hidden numbers were won by Mrs. Whiteman and Miss Chalmers.
