AUCKLAND JEWISH WOMEN.
BENEVOLENT SOCIETY. The Auckland Jewish Women's Benevolent Society has ceased its activities for the present year. The president, Mrs. Gustave Pezaro, stated they had the pleasure of helping 50 families with parcels of new clothing, comprising 700 garments, for their children. Letters of appreciation and gratitude were received from many parents.
The names of the families are given to the society l>y the Charitable Aid Board, which chooses those most worthy of assistance.
As a further help to the children of Auckland the society has donated a beautiful invalid carriage to the Wilson Home for the crippled children which it feels will lx> most beneficial to the inmates. Thanks are clue to the energetic committee and workers of this good society.
