Temperatures moderate. Seas rough, but later moderating on the east coast and moderate to rather rough and increasing on the west coast. The cyclone which has been located in the north Tasman Sea during the ! past few days is now centred Just west of Cape Maria van Diemen and appears to be losing intensity. An area of relatively high pressure is crossing the South Island, but a fresh depression is located over the southwest Tasman Sea. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for light to fresh north-easterly winds, veering later to south-east, and over 1 northern areas to south-west.
