Engagement Announced.
The engagement is announced of Samuel Reginald Mawhiney, of Oamaru (late of Wellington), younger son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Mawhiney, of Takapuna, Auckland, to Joy Mihill Elizabeth Aitken, only daughter of Mrs. E. Knight, of Oriental Bay, Wellington. Miss Knight was formerly en Auckland girl, living at Takanini, while Mr. Mawhiney was for several years attached to the staff of the Auckland office of the A.M.P. Society. He was transferred to head office in Wellington in 1933 and in January of this year was appointed district manager at Oamarn.
