KAITIEKE COUNTY COUNCIL.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUXUI. Tuesday. The monthly meeting of the Kaitieke County Council was held at Pruirimu today. tlVe chairman, Mr. T. H. Crocker, presiding. Manunui-Owhango Highway.—The Hon. F. Langstone wrote stating that til - Main Highways Board would provide all expenses in excess of £400 in respect or the council's portion of the ManunuiOwhango highway. Kakako Road. —It was reported that the Kakako Road was blocked to traffic. The engineer was instructed .to have the road cleared. Main Highways.—The No. 6 District Highways Council advised that the council had been unable to recommend any of the roads for declaration as main highways. Tenders.—The tender of W. .T. Hutson (£198) for the erection of Oio Xo. 2 road bridge was accepted. The engineer reported that plans had been received for the new bridge near Mr. C. Dobbs' pro perty and that nlans for the reformation of 50 chains of Xo. 423 main highway had been approved. • •
