MIDGET CAR RACING.
U.S. DRIVERS COMING. WESTERN SPRINGS SEASON. The middle of December will mark the opening of the speedway racing season in Auckland, and shortly before that time a number of the best-known midget car drivers in the United States will arrive to participate in meetings to be held at Western Springs.
There are three midget cars of modern pattern in Auckland now, and others are in course of construction. Anyintending midget car drivers and all broadsiders are asked to communicate with the secretaries. Messrs. Maben and Porter, Shortland Street.
The American team will comprise eight drivers, who will bring with them the latest equipment. The Auckland promoters of the sport have hopes of bringing several Australian drivers to Western Springs this season.
