MOTUIHI ISLAND.
IMPROVEMENTS MADE.
FACILITIES FOR VISITORS
Additional facilities which will be provided at Motuihi Island for visitors during the coming summer were referred to this morning bv the chairman of the parks and reserves committee of the Auckland City Council, Mr. K. J. Phelan, who made a visit of inspection to the island yesterday.
Mr. Phelan said he was verv pleased at the progress made. The new running track was now ready, and more shelter sheds and dressing* sheds would be completed before the holidays. Apparatus for the children's playing area was now being erected.
