PLUNKET QUEEN WINS.
CARNIVAL AT XAWAXAWA,
(From Our Correspondent.) KAWAKAWA, Monday. The final results of the Kawakawa queen- carnival were announced in the Soldiers' Hall, Kawakawa. The Plunket queen, Mrs. J. L. Rayner, was first with 21,t>72 votes, the sports queen, Miss C. M. Rogers, was second, and the returned soldiers' queen, Miss B. Bryers, third.
The president of the carnival committee, Mr. T. .T. V. Dunlop, announced that £752 had been raised in the carnival competition.
