SENIOR ACTIVITIES.

Included in last week's activities was the meeting of the Business Girls' Fraternity, held on Tuesday, with a fair attendance, when the programme included circles for tea hour interests of bridge for beginners and speech training, Christmas gifts and Indian basketry, badminton and conversation French. Plans are in hand for a Saturday afternoon excursion to Hunua Falls early in October.

Good Companions. —The Good Companions met on Wednesday, when they enjoyed a further evening in their course on musical appreciation and group singing. Miss M. Taylor presided. At the end of the evening , opportunity was taken to say good-bye to Miss Ethel Fortune, the popular treasurer of the club, who shortly leaves for Wellington. A parting gift of a crystal powder bowl was presented to Miss Fortune by Miss Taylor on behalf of the members of the club.

Junior Women's Club.—The Junior Women's Club, 'which has a steadily growing membership, met for its regular meeting on Wednesday, with Mrs. A. Williams presiding in the absence of the president of the club, Mrs. M. Hodgson. The evening was given over to the making of wood fibre flowers, under the direction of Miss Olive Jones.

Enterprise Club.—The club met as usual, with the club hostess, Miss Una Macleod. in charge of proceedings. Keen interest is being shown in their ballroom dancing and gymnasium class, and the club, though small, is appreciated by its members.
