SUCCESSFUL CARD SOCIAL

NORTHCOTE R.S.A. An enjoyable card social was held last night in the clubroom in aid of the funds of the Northcote Returned Soldiers' Association. The organisers were Mesdames J. R. Bethwaite (president), H. H. Markwick, >T. S. Davidson, W. Powell. W. Marshall, F. Roberts, A. C. Pugh, D. Wysocki. A. C. T. Winkelmann, C. L. Duke, H. B. H. Stewart and W. Lydiard. The tables were under the control of Mrs. J. R. Bethwaite. The prize winners were: Bridge, Mrs. M. Markwick and Mr. W. Gordon; hidden number, Mrs. F. Townshend; 500, Mrs. D. W. Herrick and Mr. A. C. Pugh; hidden number, Mrs. F. W. Mitchell and Mr. D. Wysocki.
